Signed by Welty to the title page in faint blue ink. Boards show fading and discoloration to edges, corners lightly bumped, a small section of text shows rippling from a water incursion, discoloration to top edge of text block, slight starting to rear hinge. Ownership signature to front endpaper. Binding firm with clean text, an otherwise bright and presentable copy with a fine dust jacket in mylar. Weltys last written and penultimately published novel (preceding the Pulitzer winning Optimists Daughter), a Depression era saga of a Mississippi family. Good / Fine.
