Text entirely in Portuguese. 192pp. A childs first communion and prayer book, compiled by a Portuguese Franciscan sister, with devotions for mass, confession, and communion, along with necessary prayers, litanies and devotions, and a selection of cantos (hymns). Printed in Germany with the most recent imprimatur dating 1912, although it is presumably a later printing. An absolutely adorable miniature devotional, with delicately gothic letterheads, borderings, motifs and black and white photographs of the Mass. A quite stunning example of devotional book design, in uncommonly pristine shape, the only notable blemish being a small smudge to the front endpaper. Near Fine.
