The Song of Songs Which is Solomon’s

London & Boston: The Medici Society, 1928. 12mo, marbled paper boards with green titles, 30pp. Boards heavily worn, spine backstop appears to have disintegrated, corners bumped. Endpapers toned and rubbed. Contents clean, binding firm. A fine press gift edition in the beaux arts style, printing the text of the Song of Songs in the Authorized King James translation, published by the Meidici Society and printed at the Mayflower Press in Plymouth, England by William Brendon & Son, Ltd. A much later trade issue of the original 1909 Medici publication, lacking the color plates by William Russell Flint and in a much less lavish binding. From the personal library of Television frontman Tom Verlaine, songwriter, guitarist and book collector. A nice copy, rather scarce. .

Price: $125.00
