The fourth and final volume in the Bandini Quartet, a cycle of novels narrated by Fante's alter-ego Arturo Bandini, Italian American blue collar worker, young writer and Los Angeles transplant. Fante, suffering from blindness at the end of his life, dictated this final novel to his wife Joyce. The novel's dedication reads 'Also For Joyce' as many of his books had been priorly dedicated to her. A fine copy in the original publisher issue acetate wrapper. Fine.
