Ownership signature to front endpaper, moderate toning to pages, a trace of fading to upper board edges. Contents clean, binding sharp and square. A beautiful later state edition of the original 1937 prequel to Lord of the Rings in a bright, nearly untouched dust jacket. ‘This cover and drawings in the book are by the author’ stated to front flap. A nearly fine copy in mylar.
