Wrappers present mild wear to corners, both wraps lean upwards, ownership signature to reverse of front wrap, a small diagonal crease to lower corner of preliminary pages of text. Pages faintly age toned. Contents clean, binding firm and square. A scarce first paperback edition of the small anthology of two apocryphal works by Tolkien, gathering his essay ‘On Fairy Stories’ and the allegorical story ‘Leaf by Niggle.’ Edition does not include the accompanying drawings by Pauline Baynes. A very good copy, in rather remarkable condition.
